Christmas is coming to the Village of Monroeville!
Looking for that special, unique gift for someone? Shop our local businesses on Saturday, 12/9. Each business will be decked out for this fun-filled event. There will be specials, as well as a drawing that you can enter into by visiting each of the participating businesses.
The Monroeville Model Railroad group will host their Christmas open house on Sunday, 12/10/23, from 11am-3pm, at 3 S Main Street. Please stop by and show your support for this wonderful group! Admission is free. Checkout www.Facebook.com/MonroevilleModelRailroadGroup/ for more info!
Christmas in the park will be held at Commons Park, on Sunday, 12/10, from 4pm-6pm. Please join us for visits with Santa, cocoa & cookies, giveaways, buckets for the kids, caroling with community students, the Mayor's annual golf cart Christmas parade, the lighting of the Village Christmas tree and more!
Be sure to stop by and enjoy the live nativity story at Trinity Lutheran Church, from 4pm-7pm.
If participating in the golf cart parade, please register at www.MonroevillePolice.com/golfcart, in order to reserve your place in the parade. Decorate your golf cart in a festive manner and have your golf cart to the staging area (school bus garage parking lot) by 4:30 on 12/10/23. Parade lineup will begin at 4:45, parade will begin at 5:00. Parade route will be the immediate block around Commons Park. Begin on Chapel St., left on Hollister St., left on Brown St., left on Broad St., and then return to the staging area. The public can add votes for their favorite entry, trying to sway the "mystery judge!" The mystery judge's final decision will be announced before the tree lighting at 6:00. Winner will receive a prize and bragging rights until next year's contest. Please email questions to Mayor@MonroevilleOhio.com.
A total solar eclipse will occur in North America on Monday, 4/8/2024. Huron County, Ohio is in the path of totality. The Village Council for Monroeville held a work session on Tuesday, 10/24/23, in regards to the solar eclipse.
