FULl-TIME STREET DEPARTMENT LABORER
The Village of Monroeville is accepting applications for a full-time laborer's position in the Street Department. The successful candidate must meet the minimum requirements of the position's job description, which includes a wide range of responsibilities. Preference will be given to the candidate who has a general possession of skills, knowledge, and abilities of street and construction techniques, equipment operation and maintenance, the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods of time under possible adverse conditions, and be willing to work in inclement weather conditions, including some nights, weekends, and/or holidays if necessary. Work will be performed under the direct supervision of the Street Department Superintendent and the Village Administrator.
Wages will be commensurate with experience, with the offer of an excellent benefits package. The Village of Monroeville is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position in the Water / Wastewater Department. Candidates must meet the requirements of the positions' job descriptions, which includes a wide range of responsibilities for division maintenance of water and sewer lines, hydrants, meters and other components, and the operation and performance of required testing, lab and treatment operations. Preference to having general knowledge of the functions of water and wastewater treatment plants, proper safety procedures and use of equipment, and possess the ability to learn job-related tasks. Weekends and some holidays are required, and because work under this job classification is typically performed both indoors and outdoors, the successful candidate must be willing to work in inclement weather conditions. Work will be performed under the direct supervision of the Water/Wastewater Superintendent and the Village Administrator.

FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Village of Monroeville is accepting applications for the position of a full-time police officer. The Village of Monroeville is a dynamic, close-knit community of 1,300. The Monroeville Police Department is a professional organization with a modern police facility, a wide rang of state-of-the-art equipment, and opprtunities for advanced training. Wages start at approximately $39,104 or higher, and goes to at least $44,720 after successfully completing the 6 month probation period. The Village offers an outstanding benefit package including paid vacation, 11 paid holiays, sick days, shift premium, longevity, earned time for each month that sick time is not used, medical, dental, and vision coverage. Uniform purchases during the first year are paid for by the Village. After that, they are reimbursed to a minimum of $550 per year. Minimum qualifictions: Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid Ohio drivers license. Applicants must be certified as a peace officer through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council, and be able to pass a pre-employment medical exam, and a post-job offer polygraph, and psychological exam if deemed appropriate. Preferred qualifications: preferred candidates will have all of the above qualifications, plus at least one year of full-time experience, and minimum of 45 hours towards an Associate Degree in law enforcement, or a related field.
